Odd turn of mind.
March 16, 2007When I come home from college, I always try to spend time with my various family members, to catch up and stuff. I miss them.
My mom in particular always reminisces about my childhood (I suppose that’s the way of mothers). I don’t object; I have a terrible memory, and I remember virtually nothing from my childhood, so these stories are actually really awesome and helpful as development resources. You should always know how you were when you were a child. The other day, we started talking about me when I was little, and she told me this little gem:
One day, while my mother was driving us (my younger brother and sister and I) to day care, I asked her “Mommy, how do you not have a baby?” My mom is pretty quick on her feet, and she replies, “Well honey, in order to know how to not make babies, you need to know how to make babies. Do you want me to explain when we get home?”
“No.”
It takes a special kind of mind process for that. I gave up trying to figure out why the hell I did that in about ten seconds. I just can’t contemplate that kind of stuff, or my brain will explode.
